    выводить (кого) на чистую воду
    show smb. up in his true colours
    (to expose a liar for example, to foil a plot)

    Literally - to bring someone into clean (transparent) water (compared to muddy water where little can be seen).

    (что) не выходит нз головы
    I can't stop thinking of smth. literally: smth cannot leave my head (mind).
    Send me a PM if you need me.

    "To show up, to unmask, to expose" - недостаточное объяснение для "выводить на чистую воду"?
    Я серьёзно спрашиваю. А то, может, мне только кажется, что я понятно ответила, и я зря наезжаю на человека.
    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    По-моему достаточно, но другие варианты тоже приветствуются.

    А теперь, объясни отрывок выделен цветом, пожалуйста. Эта идиома мне не понятна.

    Наезжать в данном случае означает "предъявление требований к человеку, "оказывание давления".

    Это не идиома, там необязательно слово "человек" должно быть.))
    "Наезжать" is kind of 'to go at', 'to criticize', as far as I know.) It is informal, of course. The noun is 'наезд.' Но наездом может быть и вопрос "Сигаретки не найдётся?" в подворотне, здесь уже речь о критике не идёт.))

    P.S.: Please, correct my mistakes.

    Просто был уже отдельный топик, в котором Johnroman спросил о значении разных идиом. Я там ему ответила (не на всё, но на часть). А он теперь создает новые темы, в которых просит объяснить ему значение этих самых идиом. У меня ощущение, что он либо не читает ответы на свои вопросы, либо я неправильно объяснила.

    Наезжать = ~предъявлять претензии.

    Нет, ты здесь ни при чём, Johnroman уже не первый раз вопросы дублирует (еле удержалась, чтоб не сострить).

    OK, online translators like google can't even translate normal language properly, so they are never going to cope with idioms.
