Heya,

When I was in Russia, and I tried to call my russian friends at home, a lot of time their grandparents or whatever would answer. I'd say who I was, and tell them to have whoever call me at this number, but a lot of times my friends would get back to me with "They had no idea what you said". I was wondering if I could get some help with proper phone etiquette on asking somebody to call you back, maybe a translation for:

Is Sasha home? No? Would you please have him call me at this number...

I would translate that as:

Саша дома? О, пожалуйста, скажи его позванить меня. Мой номер...

I don't know, maybe it was just my accent, but if I could get some help on this it'd be appreciated. Thanks!
