    A quick clarification

    Hi all,

Still learning Russian!! I think I understand each individual word but together they're not making much sense to me.

    --Babo4ki v jivote eto kogda--

The granny (jit' - to live?) when.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Debbie.

To me too. I'm a Russian native though.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

It's just an attempt to explain an English expression "butterflies in the stomach" (which doesn't exist in Russian, obviously), assuming that the phrase is not finished and there's supposed to be something else after 'when...".

Когда нервничаешь или волнуешься, особенно в ожидании чего-то.

You’ll get butterflies in the stomach when nervous or worry.
    Is that right?

Right. But the last word must be “worried.”
