    "Moskau" lyrics

Hi everybody! I'm brand new here, I'm Argentinian, and I'm just starting with Russian. I've got a song, "Moskau" (Rammstein feat t.A.T.u.) and they sing in German and Russian. I don't understand the Russian lyrics, could you please help me?

    Thanks a lot!

Well, OK, since it is so short! And since I like the song too.

This song is about the most beautiful city in the world. Moscow!

    One, two, three!

    Look!
    Pioners are walking there
    Singing songs to Lenin

    I can't resist

    I built it again

    I have to pay

When you are sleeping soundly at night

When you are lying in front of me

When you are talking with me

I like both tatu and rammstein too
    Rammstein seem more intricate though.

Darobat is actually right. They didn't say that Moscow is the most beautiful city. What they say is it's the most excellent one

The song itself is about moscow prostitutes.

I was sure this song wasn`t about moscow prostitutes.
    Moscow likens to a prostitute.
    I`ve found the artistic interpretation
    Этот город - проститутка
    пятна красные на лбу
    её зубы золотые
    она толста, но так мила
    Её рот мне вглубь скользит
    ей за это я плачу
    разденется, но лишь за деньги
    моё дыхание хватив

прекрасный can also mean beautiful, and I think in this context is the best choice. I never heard of an "excellent city" without a qualifier, you would have something like: "excellent city for partying", etc.

    краснвом

I've bought Rammstein's cd "Reise, reise", where the song is, and the lyrics say "краснвом"... do you have a personal interpretation of the song? It really doesn't make much sense to me, I don't know what it refers to.

Well, the mp3 copy I have, she definitely says "прекрасном"...

Its прекрасном. I also have the CD + lyrics. I guess since ramstein are not native speakers of russian, they are allowed to make some mistakes.
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!

If your CD says that it's Tatu singing in "Moskau" (it's definitely not so), then, perhaps, it is unlicenced one.

Dear Russians, isn't "о самом прекрасном городе в мире" translated as "the most red city in the world"?

I totally agree with you, Rammstein used a methaphor for Moskou - as a prostitute. And the vocalist sang about his "relationship" with the city, like sexual chemistry between a man and a woman/prost.

I love Moscow very much and I`ve lived here since my birthday, but I understand why Rammstein likened Mowscow to a prostitute.
If you`ve got money Moscow can give everything to you, but if you haven`t you`ll never see it`s charms. Moscow is sweet to rich and successful and cold to poor. Like a prostitute

If I may correct you, your birthday is the day of your birth that you celebrate each year, not just the one day you were actually born. Your sentence would sound better as 'I've lived here all my life' or something like that. '...since my birthday' makes it sound like you moved there on your most recent birthday.

Yes, I meant "all my life"
