    for example
Как ты себя чувствуешь сегодня, получше?
    Ты себя лучше чувствуешь сегодня?
I cannot fit "I wonder" to this question, maybe other people could.

It is not possible to fit "wonder" or a similar meaning statement in there?

impulse I think wonder is translated as: спрашивать себя.

literally 'I wonder' means Мне интересно, but we dont' use such structures in Russian when asking stanadard questions like 'how are you, how u feel',

it's just better to use standard Russian equivalents,

    hddscan suggested some good variants.

спрашивать себя - ask myself smth.

I think this is the only meaning possible.

Можно использовать это предложение так ; Я спрашиваю себя чём ты занмаешь дома (to mean that; I wonder (ask myself) what you are doing at home)

possible, but it sounds not very natural, difficult to think of the context.

    я спрашиваю себя
sounds like 'inner dialogue', dialogue with oneself, reflexive thinking.
