Well, it would mean that she literally took a brush, some paint and painted his life in some color. I'd say something like, "Ты раскрасила (I'd even use "расцветила", even though it might be not too pure) мою жизнь в яркие цвета, и эти цвета мне нравятся".

I start thinking, there is a link from some mail-order bride site to this forum. There's been too many of those lately.
