It's "симпатичен" with error. It's derived from latin 'simpathy' but slighly change it's meaning. "Я испытываю симпатию к нему (I feel simpathy to him)" = "I like him" in russian. 'Симпатичный' is adjective with meaning 'liked one/pretty'.

"Но у меня была тяга к этому челоеку / But I had a craving for this person" is ok.

But next text is full of grammatical errors. It's even difficult to repair it.
"Это был я симпотичен" probably is "Я был (ему?) симпатичен" (I was pretty / He liked me). But 50/50 it was "Он был мне симпатичен" (I liked him).

"Так что я с ним был такой вид отношений" probably "Так что у нас с ним были отношения такого рода." (So, we (me and he) had relations of this kind)

P.S.
Also, it's important in russian to know sexes of these persons. This changes a lot. Text above is "man says about man".
