Thread: Can You Correct this?

Я люблю мусыка. Также меня папа. Я мочу играя мусыка также. Три иенструменты! Оно щуткя и Я хорошо!

Can you please point out any mistakes you see in there? Also, could someone also please write out what it means, so I can see if I messed up what I intended. Thanks

It's good that you're starting with the very basics!

мусыка - the proper spelling is музыка
Я люблю музыку - "music" here is in the accusative case, so we change the ending.

Также меня папа

This is not properly written in English either: "I love music. Also my dad." I assume you are meaning that your father loves music as well, but the sentence(in English too) is ambiguous and it could mean that in addition to music, you love your father. At any rate:

меня means "me", not "my"
I'd write it "Мой папа тоже любит музыку".

Я мочу играя мусыка также
Я могу играть на музыкальных инструментах также.
I can play musical instruments as well(lit. "I can play on musical instruments as well").

Три иенструменты!
Три инструмента!
There are a lot of rules for numbers in Russian, so just accept it for now

I don't know what you mean with this sentence, but another thing: Russian does not capitalize the personal pronoun(я).

Thank you Pravit. That last sentance was supposed to mean "It's fun and I'm good at it", but I guess I screwed it up pretty bad. How should that be worded?

Also, Я могу играть... Why isn't играт conjugated? I'd think it would be играю...

In English you don't say "I am able I play" you say "I am able to play"
To play = the infinitive (играть).

Russian Оно (it) doesn't work the same as in english. It is only used to refer to a neuter noun, e.g. Окно (window).
It you want to say it like you do, you use the very useful word Это.
Щутка is a noun. You want the adjective (fun / enjoyable) here =

Это приятно и я хорошо играю
or something

Due to Russian's multiple cases, its best not to be too adventerous with what you try and write at this point.

is щутка even a word?

"Its fun and i like it". I'm not exactly sure how to translate it but i'd use веселиться in there somewhere.
