But I wanted to ask about the Russian translation of "without [XYZ] everywhere" in this comment from Hanna:

It is a privilege, not a disadvantage to grow up without Hollywood, Mc Donalds and commercials everywhere!
На английском языке, "without McDonalds everywhere" совсем отличается от "without McDonalds anywhere", и я не мог разобраться, как правильно выразить отличие на русском. Мне пришлось сначало формулировать по-другому, со книжным словами "without the omnipresence of...", и потом перевести так:

Вырасти без вездесущности Голливуда, Макдоналдса, реклам -- это преимущество, а не неудобство.

I think this means essentially the same thing as "It's a privilege to grow up without Hollywood (etc.) everywhere."

But the English "It's a privilege to grow up without Hollywood (etc.) anywhere" might be translated (I think) as:

Вырасти совсем без Голливуда, Макдоналдса, реклам -- это преимущество, а не неудобство.

Of course, this is quite a different idea! It's one thing if access to McDonald's is rather difficult (that can be an advantage -- easy access to McDonald's = childhood obesity). It's a very different thing if access to McDonald's is impossible, because McDonald's doesn't exist in your country. I think this is what Eric C. was talking about when he said that it's a privilege/advantage when you can CHOOSE whether or not to eat at McDonald's.
