Thread: Kids on the Metro

I just had a quick question and wasn't exactly sure where to put it - so here it is. When i'm on the metro in either Moscow or St. Pete, it's happened to me on more than one occasion that kids shamelessly try to pick my pockets. Not that they are any good at it - I usually just slap their hand away or something like that. However, I was wondering what you're supposed to say to them in a situation like that.

dont say anything - kick them!

Well, you COULD say them that theft is bad.

Well, like I said I normally just shove them away or slap the hand or something - but I didn't know if there was any common phrase that Russians would say in this situation.

Translation: "Ba%$ard, i'll broke your face!!!"

I'd advise you to to look like Russian and make grim face. I suppose you look like a tourist and, therefore, draw their attention as a alleged victim. They won't disturb you anymore.

Around what age are these kids anyway?

Perform the following military hand-to-hand combat move:
- uppercut the bastard on the jaw with your right

These are actually kids - i'd say around 10 years old. You needn't be Chuck Norris to passify them... I was just curious to know if there is any common phrase that people say in situations like this.
