Faith, I would recommend you to spell your last name with 'э', so it sounds like the most closest variant to the English one: Спрэдлин. Nowadays there is a kind of tendency here, in Russia, to reproduce names as much close as it is possible. However, it is not unanimously accepted to have [э] for [ae] all the time.
