Too much censorship on the forums?

...But I am trying to understand how a topic such as relations between our countries could be offensive. Personally, I blame America for this new "cold war" more than I blame Russia. So when I posted the topic about the cold war, it was actually an attempt to make up for the discussion about gay rights.

Anyway, I can certainly refrain from discussing politics if it is dividing people here. That was never my intent.

Лично я абсолютно против тем об издевательствах над детьми, неважно где. Как для мамаши - это моё больное место.
Пока не приходит в голову, какие ещё темы желательно избегать.

In that thread, it seemed to me that everyone was opposed to everyone, and not any single individual really. I did not run away, I just reached a place where I decided there was nothing further I could add to the discussion. I did not see the sense in continuing. I myself am not gay, and maybe it is not my place to speak for a group to whom I do not really belong. I thought that the person who is actually gay himself, was doing a better job than me in defending gay rights, and that my own comments were not being perceived as supportive. The discussion was causing more hard feelings than it was worth for me to continue.
