From what I read in this site, the preposition за requires instrumental case.
If I want to say "Спасибо за..." (thanks for...), what case should be used in here..?
    Corrections are welcomed...

So accusative case should be used here.

Could you correct my mistakes, please.

You've misunderstood what you've read. That page is about the instrumental case and it is about some prepositions that take the instrumental case in certain contexts. It does not say that за is always used with the instrumental, only that it sometimes does (i.e. when meaning behind).

За + instrumental is used to mean behind (something).

There is a store behind the building.

Also, 3а + instrumental can be used to describe something you "seek." It sometimes corresponds to English "after (something)"

    to come for blin's.

Chavez flew to Moscow (to buy) weapons.

    Actually.

за + instrumental = behind (location)
за + accusative = (movement to) behind

Oh yes, true! How could I forget the за + accusative!
