В скором времени я надеюсь закончить некоторое количество пейзажей, так как я предпочитаю сейчас рисовать деревья, а не людей. Они сидят неподвижно дольше [долго могут оставаться неподвижными], и мне не нужно их оплачивать им не надо платить, и к тому же сейчас больше люди покупают пейзажи охотнее, чем обнаженные портреты.

I hope it's clear that "Я посещал и рисовал ... " would require
"Это внушило меня сделать выставку..." , (if внушать was a proper verb), because the act of внушение only occurred once, hence the perfective aspect is necessary

Thanks for going through that, it all makes sense, and as ever I missed a few mistakes that are obvious in hindsight. Mostly mis-gendering nouns it seems.

As far as I can tell, внушать/внушить are proper verbs. Or at least according to this, anyway:-

I'm pretty satisfied with the resulting text, always grateful for someone checking my efforts, perhaps some day I'll know enough to be able to contribute here. That would an acheivement!
