The first time I saw skachat' MP3, I worked out what it meant straight away. It's quite obvious.

Is it an invented word? Because there is the word скатить which means "to roll down".

It's from качать with the meaning "to pump".

I think the word скачать comes from качать, meaning to pump. When you add the prefix "c", it means means "pumping down from." Pumping a file down from the internet to your computer. Well, that's the way I remember it at least...

Yes.

"Скачать" is a colloquial/computer slang word. "Загрузить" is more literary.

I think that you mean a "warm" (жаркий / горячий) gun, unless this song really was about a gun full of черви!
