Thread: Idiomatic Expressions: break up

Privet.
I have some problem in finding the following idiomatic expressions in Russian:

1. These two are a couple. They are in a relationship.
2. These two were a couple (i.e. not married couple). They broke up.
3. The reason why the broke up is because they were fighting all the time (i.e. they were arguing and shouting each other, but they were not hitting other)

1. These two are a couple. They are in a relationship. - depending on details (if not a married couple): Они встречаются. or Они живут вместе. Or in general: У них близкие отношения. other versions are possible.
2. These two were a couple (i.e. not married couple). They broke up. Они расстались. Они разошлись (the latter is also applicable to a divorce). Они разбежались (more slangy). Они порвали друг с другом. other versions are possible.
3. The reason why the broke up is because they were fighting all the time (i.e. they were arguing and shouting each other, but they were not hitting other) - Они расстались из-за того, что всё время ругались (or: ссорились).

— Почему ты с ней поссорился?
— Она попросила угадать, сколько ей лет.
— Ну и что?
— Угадал!

Эти двое одно время хороводились, но потом между ними пробежала кошка. Они долго грызлись и, наконец, разошлись.

Порвал (порвала) тоже работает в этом смысле.

- Привет, а где Серёжа?
- Не знаю, почему спрашиваешь?
- Ну, вы же вроде встречались...
- Да, встречались, но я с ним порвала, он в последнее время как с цепи сорвался, ни одной юбки не пропустит.
- Седина в бороду, бес в ребро
- Может и так, но это не значит что я люблю, когда мой мужчина ухлёстывает за девушками.
