    What case is ворота ? I think it should be accusative, so why is it ended in "a" ?
    Please also translate this.

    It looks like neuter gender ( ended in -о ) in plural accusative are ended so. I don't know exact sport terms, it's like "at the end of the game the ball flew into the goal of St Peterburg Zenit (team)."

    Ворота is always plural.

    ворота is irregular.

    It is always in the plural. You are right, it is in the accusative here.

    ворота - gates, goal (in sport)

    ворота = nominative plural
    ворота = accusative plural <---- This is the form it is in in your example.
    ворот = genitive plural
    воротам = dative plural
    воротами = instrumental plural
    воротах = prepositional plural
