распрекрасный - very-very beautiful ("рас-" is intensive)

As in Harry Potter. In English one would not write "very beautiful" or even "beautiful" about a male in this context, unless it was satirical.
A woman who is physically attractive can be described as "beautiful", but a man is "handsome".
A man can be described as a "beautiful person" based on quality of his character, etc.
Yes, it is a mildly sexist distinction. I would have written: "Ah, (wonderful, magnificent, marvelous, brilliant) Potter!
    DO IT YOURSELF!

But распрекрасный IS satirical. I haven't heard it in any other sense except lyrics or songs. Распрекрасный Поттер - you can say that in Russian - and nobody will say you're sexist. It sounds satirically. Applying to Potter it sounds perfectly fine. Gorlum from Lord of the Rings pops into my mind as well.

I didn't know that. I've seen his name written in English but didn't pay attention. I've read the Russian translation with the name
