Oops. I din't read the whole. I thought there was "разговаривают".

And one other thing: can anyone explain to me once and for all when should I use "the" article with nouns in plural?

I think that should be:

I won't ask (the) girls anything anymore.

In this case if you're talking about some certain girls that you know you would use 'the'. If you're talking about all the girls in the world you wouldn't.
