I was thinking the same thing and actually read it as 'God buy' before realizing she meant 'good-bye'.
Reminded me of that old translation joke: Bye-bye baby, baby goodbye = buy buy baby, baby - good buy (купи купи ребёнка, ребёнок - хорошая покупка)
