    How to translate into Russian:

    Once upon a time, in a place far far away . . .
    (or the equivalent Russian opening to a fairy tale)

    Какая разница, умереть богатым или бедным?

    Какой толк от богатства если ты не счастлив.

    Once upon a time = Однажды давным-давно

    in a place far far away . . . = за тридевять земель (also "в тридевятом царстве, в тридесятом государстве" or all together)
    Gib immer 100% bei der Arbeit: 12% am Montag, 23% am Dienstag, 40% am Mittwoch, 20% am Donnerstag, 5% am Freitag ...

    Basically it would be "Однажды, далеко-далеко..."
    But for traditional beginnings of Russian folk tales it would be
    usually like JJ wrote.

    There's another starting formula of Russian folk tales:
    Жили-были дед да баба...
    Жили-были старик со старухой....
    В тридевятом царстве, в тридесятом государстве жил-был старик и было у него три сына...
