Thread: How far off the mark is Google translate with this one?

In English, the words 'Be Positive' can be either a motivational statement or a blood type.

Is there a Russian translation which covers both of these definitions?

Google is telling me that:

Be Positive = быть Положительным

I know better than to trust Google translate for anything other than (maybe) uncomplicated individual words.

The context matters a lot.

I don't think there is a Russian translation which covers both of these definitions.

blood type = положительный резус-фактор
positive mood / attitude to life = позитивный взгляд
be positive! = живи и радуйся! гляди веселей! не грузись! etc etc etc (a lot of variants)

Быть позитивным\ой works well
