    26 sentences - please check

Could anyone please check the following sentences for mistakes? And if there are any (as I'm sure there are), could you possibly explain why is it that way not another? If possible, in English
    Thanks in advance

(Azerbijan??)

And I absolutley couldn't figure out how to translate these two sentences:

I turned to the director (headmaster?) with this question.
I'm waiting for the answer impatiently. (it's supposed to have the form "с чем-то" in Russian).

What's actually the difference between "выучиться" and "научиться"?

    Thanks for any help

Oh!! I've just found another mistake!

No way. You must say Родители гордятся своими детьми (Without "soft sign" ь - this is a widespread mistake even amongst russians)

oh yes, I do realize that it was just a sentence I was supposed to translate

Could you please explain the difference between "выучиться" and "научиться"? Cause my dictionary says it's the same, but you guys corrected it.
    Thanks

And thanks for checking the sentences and eliminating the errors I owe you.

выучиться means to get an education, a profession "Я выучился на лингвиста"

выучить means to memorize, to learn a theoretical subject "Я выучил песню, я выучил арабский язык"

Научиться means to learn how to do something "Я научился чинить машину, я научился писать по-русски без ошибок"
I've got a TV, and I'm not afraid to use it

thanks a bunch, it's much clearer now

dang, I don't get it, my teacher still found mistakes in the sentences you have already corrected, for example in Попроси у неё помощи. she said I can in no way use that. I freaking don't get it.

that's what she said. That I was supposed to write Попроси её о помощи, because "Попроси у неё" can only be used with stuff, like a book, a pen or anything else that can be phisically touched.

    She is wrong:
    http://www.yandex.ru/yandsearch?text=%C ... &stype=www

There may be some sort of a rule, but it's not the language that follows rules, it's the other way around. You cannot derive the exceptions and complexities of any language from rules and one should not even try. Native speakers say that all the time and it's not considered incorrect. The construct is practically inavoidable if you say I doubt many people would say And if she is a native speaker, then she is some kind of a language nazi. In that case, just go along, whatever.

In fact, I even feel a slight difference in the meanings of these two expressions, but I dont know if everybody would agree. Попроси её о помощи to me sounds equivalent to asking her to help in a general sense, as in "help me, save my life". Попроси у неё помощи implies the need for help with a specific issue.
