It doesn't sound Japanese to me.
It doesn't sound French or Spanish either.
That's about all I can say.
    Maybe it is Latin?

A Google search revealed that this is a song from a movie "Urga" set in Mongolia. The film was directed by Nikita Mikhalkov. The song itself is not in Japanese and certainly not in Russian; it is probably Mongolian.

Sorry, Pravit! Could I use that only for things like that? I agree to your exclusive right to use it with pseudo-Russian names.
