Thread: financial products

In economics there are two types of investments:
1. Tangible investments (e.g. real estate, land)
2. Financial products / assets (e.g. securities, bonds, stocks, options, CDFs etc)

Я хотел перевести следующее выражение: "Mutual funds are mechanisms of collecting investment funds in a common pool, that is consequently investeted in different financial products globally (e.g. bonds, stocks, securities, options etc)."

Please this is important. I don't want the scientific term. I just want the term average people use. How you calle bonds, stocks, securities, options, commodities.
