(actually, it would be easier to say "я отправил вам свое резюме )

Nice to meet you is translated as "Приятно с Вами познакомиться" but this form is not usually used in telephone conversations. That is to say, if the person you're talking to introduces themselves, then you can say it, of course.

В данном случае можно и "отправил". In this case it's just as legitimate as "отправлял" if not more so.

I don't know why I chose the imperfective verb... Well, it's probably because in such cases I say something like: "Вы знаете, я вам там письмо отправляла. *Но почему-то до сих пор не получила ответа. Может оно не дошло?* It's sort of sounds more spoken.
