Not Брайана, а Брайану. You can simply say you are passing him the salt, "соль"

Slice of cake- Кусок(Кусочек) пирога, торта- кусочек is a diminutive of кусок(literally means "a peice"
Lemon- Лимон

Еда is food as well. For "ice cub" you can also say just "лёд"

Tongs are a tool used to grab hot things so you don't burn yourself.

Thanks a lot for your help, but I have a few questions about some things...

I'm not understanding the meaning of this "накрыть стол для гостей (праздничный стол)" to set the table for guests? How would say 'to Serve something to the guests?

Which one is better to use, месить тесто для торта or замешивать тесто для торта? In my dictionary it says that 'месить' means 'to knead', that means something totally different in English. But is that okay in Russian to use?

How do you say:

to Get up from the table - Встать из-за стола
to Push the chair under the table - ????
to Pull the chair out for someone - ????

"Накрыть стол" means to put and arrange all the tableware AND some of the foodstaffs and drinks (salads, cold snacks etc).

In some cases, you can say "Угощать гостей чем-то".

"Месить" and "замешивать" are not quite the same, although some people may use them interchangeably. Your dictionary is right in that "месить" means to knead. "Месить" можно тесто для хлеба, для пельменей - it is only used for thick dough.

"Замешивать" is more like to mix. When in doubt, say "готовить тесто".

By the way, liquid batter for pancakes is also called "тесто" in Russian.

Я замешиваю тесто для торта -I'm stirring the cake batter- замешал(а)
Я намазал противень - I greased the baking sheet - намазываю
Я подбросил блин и свернул лепёшку - I flipped the pancake and folded the tortilla - подбрасываю /сворачиваю
задвинул стул под стол - I pushed the chair under the table - задвигаю

Не знаю, можно ли сказать "глазировать торт"???

Ужин - Dinner

Завтракать, Позавтракать - to have Breakfast

лютик - a type of flower, the dictionary says itś a buttercup.
луг - Участок, покрытый травянистой растительностью.
(Meadow?)

Perhaps I would call it a

Брат ты слышишь эти звуки ?
в них сердец глухие стуки!

луговая трава !
луговые цветы !

луговые версты !

Smartdude is right луговой лютик means a meadow buttercup but i took it as a nick not because i love botanics i love the poem by Zinaida Gippius (a russian poet of the so-called "Silver age") which is called "луговые лютики" someone can think it's a plain poem and he'll be right but i have much reminiscences connected with it
