I NEVER say "крести" instead of "трефы". It's like saying "crosses" instead of "clubs". May be people who don't know other games except "Дурак" use this word, I don't know...
May be "go fish" is smth like "бери (из колоды)" ("take (from the deck)).

    — так называется третья по значению карточная масть; знак ее заимствован у французов, которые Б. называют carreaux, квадрат, как она и изображается. Бубнами у нас эта масть называется от нем. Schellen, бубенчики, как изображают немцы эту масть на своих картах.

Yes, бубны is the right variant. But буби is more common in spoken language. And (funny thing!) we often speak буби but never decline this word (for example "бубейная" ) and always speak бубновая etc.

    For Propp:
I and my friends know many card games, but we never say трефы, always крести. And I've never heard "трефы" in "home" games. Of course, I don't usually playing in elite casinos...
My English isn't so good, зато с русским все в порядке ))
I'll be very thankful, if you correct my mistakes.

O.K. this one lost me...are you saying that буби is how it's written down (not declined) but when it's spoken it's declined (бубновая, etc) ?
    Git 'er done!

Just don't decline буби in written or spoken language. And it's better to use бубны
