    Thats helpful however...

its not the first reference to "friend" that I've had in my emails.
The previous one was this this. В примечаниях Ваших писем я вспоминаю наше общение в Москве и действительно то, что мы понимали друг - друга! Это очень хорошо!!!

Its just so diffucult with the on-line translator -Im contstantly guessing..
I'd really appreciate your help on this one too...

    Thanks a million, V

Does anyone want to tell me the difference between поминить и вспоминать?

Поминить doesn't exist. It has to be either пОмнить or поминАть. The difference between these two is huge, so let us know which one you want to compare with вспоминать...

    Поминить - doesn't exist. (Truth)
вспоминать- to recognize or to life in memory
    запомнить - to remember

i think so, but my english is not perfect ...
