    to be

I try to translate expressions as: "He is too clever to be just a simple teacher", "He is too polite to be Russian"
I cannot do it because russians don't use the verb to be.
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

    How doesn't we?

    The answers are:

Он слишком умен, чтобы быть простым учителем
    Он слишком вежлив для русского

Well, the last one doesn't use быть but the first one does
I do not claim that my opinion is absolutely true.
If you've spotted any mistake in my English, please, correct it. I want to be aware of any mistakes to efficiently eliminate them before they become a habit.

Restatement: Most of the cases and in simple present tense you don't use "to be" expect if it is used as an infinitive.
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

Антонио, пока можете переводить "to be" такого вида в "чтобы быть". Это будет понятно и в большинстве случаев - правильно.

If translate in literature style, we can use родительный падеж:
    Слишком умён для простого учителя.
    Слишком вежлив для русского.

Тогда это не будет эквивалентом. В английском есть "for" в том же смысле.
If Britney Spears too sexy for a mom?

"I choose not to be in love with you!" = Я выбрал не быть влюблен в тебя. In this case I think that быть is favourable to чтобы быть. Correct?
I understand that it will be better to write that "I choose not to get in love with you" = "Я выбрал не влюбиться в тебя", but I was curious how it will work with a причастие that requires "to be"
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

Я выбрал не быть влюбленным в тебя sounds better. Just the full form of the adjective, not the short one.
By the way, Я выбрал не влюбиться в тебя is not correct. When there is a negation, you should use imperfective verbs.
    Compare:
Я решил стать врачом. - Я решил не становиться врачом.
Я выбрал пойти погулять. - Я выбрал не ходить гулять. (A bit awkward, both of them. I guess constructions выбрать + verb are not widespread).
Сделай это! - Не делай этого!
( In the case of imperative I've found this article:
