Well, if they know how to pronounce "blood" and transliterate it like "блаад", then the same logic will apply for the word "flood".

I don't think English Speakers can use English letters, to pronounce the most Russian words properly. Some approximation, yes, but never the exact sound. For example, Russian "a" sounds very different from English "a." And of course, the famous щ, ж, х, ы, р sounds. And many more.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

Well, I don't know what to say. I want to say thanks to the Academy, to Mama, to Papa and to my dog. I love you all.

Очень немногие транслитирейтят это так-). Blood обычно пишут как "Блуд" . Ну и "Флуд" в том же духе. По-русски это звучит на порядок понятнее и приятнее ИМХО. Блаад звучит слишком иностранно .

Мой друг, впервые увидев игру Doom, прочитал ее как "Даам" (типа выпендрился английским).

I'm but a beginner in Russian, so please correct me.
However, I'm supposed to be good in English, so if you correct me there, I become very angry! Grr!
And if you, for some reason, need help in Finnish, I'm glad to help.

Russian doesn't have a vowel that sounds like the one in flood, blood, bud etc, just like English doesn't have a vowel that sounds like ы.

Это он так прикалывается. А ещё жаловался, что никогда не поймёт русский мат!
Please, correct my mistakes, except for the cases I misspell something on purpose!
