My native language is Finnish, I'd say I'm also fluent in English. At school I was forced to study Swedish, but I don't know it very well anymore as I haven't been using it too much. Russian I've studied for two years.

Finland has two official languages, Finnish and Swedish, but that doesn't mean that everybody is fluent in both. Just that everyone has to study one as a native language and the other as a foreign language.

My native languages are Spanish and Catalan. I'm studying English Translation and I've studied Russian for three months right now. I studied French for three years in the past, but I'm lost a lot (though i'm able to read it and comprehend a lot). And I know a bit of German, but only a bit of a bit.

My parents are Tunisians but I live in France. I can consider myself bilingual: arabic/french because I'm speaking arabic at home and french with my friends.
Yahaaa, it's possible to be bilingual.
Some people have something to say while others just have to say something.
    Which kind are you?

    :P
    That's it

my native language is Russian where P and Л sounds a little weird .
I wish I woke up tomorrow and felt that I am able to speak English as native English. I would sacrifise my ability to speak Russian just to be able to speak English!
    Я так думаю.

    It's "sacrifice" .

Some other words are like that though: "licence" (the object) and "to license", "practice" (the thing) and "to practise", and "advice" and "to advise": the only two of these examples that are pronounced differently from each other (something like "адвайс" and "адваийз", respectively).

My native language was, is and will be Russian!!! In spite of studying German and French in school, I havent got any successes. Not long ago, I had to start learning English, and have been learning it now.

I think so. It's a bit of a strange way of saying it, but the meaning is clear. I would have said:

"I wish I could just" ("merely", very commonly used like this, as you may know) "wake up tommorow and feel that I could speak English like a native.".

The second sentence is perfect, except for the 's' .

Don't worry, a majorty of forum users can't/be bothered to spell so you actually could of passed as a native English speaker with some of your posts.

my native language is Russian where P and Л sounds a little weird
What do you mean by this...?

My native language is British English. I consider it boring but because it's so widely used I do appreciate knowing it.

I only just noticed this forum...
Please correct any Russian language mistakes I make.

I can't make a tape, but here is as it goes
My defected R is often unnoticeable but I say it softer than other.
    Say you sound like:
Robert Roy McGreggor grew up in a rocky crags.
    now me:
Robert Roy McGreggor grew up in a rocky crags.

I said the word grew correct. I can say green correct, but the word correct will sound incorrect.
Thus my Russian ре ри ря рю are pronounced clearly, but рэ ра ро ры ру and just p are my poor letters

And it's the same with Л
When Л is 'soft' like in Russian ли лю ле ля I speak it pretty good!
But in such words like ходил it sound a bit like ходиу.

    That's it
    Я так думаю.

It is. It's because we had many of such topics in other subforums.

Я не понял что ты этим хотел сказать. Что тут должны писать люди только из Англии или что?
