    Such a mix of native languages here. We really ought to do a graph to show!
    English and Russian would win out, but there are so many other langauges too!

    Anyway, welcome everyone, this is a great place to learn Russian or improve your English, or discuss culture, politics and many other topics in Russian or English.....

    American English. So what would a Ukrainian person's native language be? If they grew up speaking both Russian and Ukrainian at home, the public speaks both Ukrainian and Russian, and they feel just as comfortable in one as they do the other then both must be their native language. A person CAN have two native languages.

    Having said that being from the North East when spoken it's a strange slang variant of it

    Не надо забывать, что основное назначение данного форума - помощь иностранцам (да и соотечественникам) в изучении русского языка.
    Для изучения английского есть много ресурсов и форумов, подобных этому.
    Впрочем, и здесь есть соответствующий раздел. И если там попросить о помощи, то ты её получишь.
