They voted no because they were worried about cheap workers from Poland and such stealing their jobs, and also cos they don't want Turkey to join the EU cos they are Islamophobes.
And voting the no to the EU constitution won't change either of those things.
The French in general are por-EU. The same referrendum on the EU constitution in the UK would get an overwhelming No on the basis that people will be saying no the EU in gerenal, cos we are rubbish here.

I'm not calling this democracy. In this case Democracy is actually hijacked to resolve a personal issue with someone.
That's what happened in France, voters voted against the french government, while the issue at hand has NOTHING to do with what the french government is doing.
So when you ask the dumb masses and the masses don't like you, you are screwed, unless the question is "Can I lick your ass?"
I have seen many debates on the Constutituion and you had some amazingly stupid persons asking bloody stupid questions to the French president. They showed with extreme precision that people have no idea what the consitution is about. For one example, one asked " Will the consititution help gay couples have children ?"
Or they will keep being obsessed by cheap polish workers. Voting yes or no won't CHANGE ANYTHING about the cheap polish workers work in France. But how do you want to get that in the head of mud footed idiots.
Sorry but last time I checked, a French and a Belgian are both European.
