Whether it is or not, 56k users will hate you for putting it into an image link...

I don't see how this relates to Russia, unless it happened in a Russian zoo or something.

I don't think that snake can eat that cow.
Why is that cow in the water anyway?
    Я взял палку и нож, мелки и бумагу и направился к холмам.

    Ah, the power of Photoshop.

There really are some seriously bored graphic designers out there.

Well, they added a distorted snake reflection in the water, they must have been pretty damn bored in that case.

What makes you think it's fake? It could just as well be real.

Good, but not the best. The funniest American Home Video is "Python eating a policeman"

It's not like the snake has actually swallowed that... ummm... animal (I can't make out what it is), only tasting, and there is nothing unnatural about that... I am not an expert but when I zoomed in to the limit of resolution, I did not see any clear mismatches of color patterns, so if this is a forgery then it's a very good one.

Even if this animal being dragged out of the water (while being consumed) was only a young calf, there's absolutely no way in hell even a snake that size could possibly dislocate it's jaw wide enough to fully consume such a beast. Anacondas do not attack and eat huge livestock, such as fully grown Bovine.

Besides, the environment (the cliff ledges, water pool) appear very manufactured - like a Zoo of some kind . . . and this 'cow' doesn't seem to fit those surroundings proportionately, anyway.

I have done some google seaches and concluded that the photo is probably fake.
Anacondas can grow to a maximum of 9 meters and 250kg.
Cows can grow well over 500 kgs.

Here is a pic of the largest anaconda in the world

Haven't you ever seen the movie Anaconda?

But seriously I don't see why it can't be real, and the artificial looking environment could easily be attributed to a zoo. In fact look what it says at Wikipedia.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaconda
They typically feed on large rodents, tapirs, capybaras, deer, peccaries, fish, turtles, birds, sheep, dogs and aquatic reptiles like caiman. They have been known to occasionally prey on jaguars and attacks on humans can be confirmed, although this is rare. Younger anacondas feed on mice, rats, chicks, frogs and fish. Most local people kill these snakes on sight, out of the fear that they are man-eaters. In most instances, if an anaconda senses humans in the area, it will retreat in another direction. Human death by anaconda is quite rare.
An anaconda of 9 meter can weigh up to about 1100 lb (500 kg). The well-fed ones typically weigh about a hundred kilograms per meter of length. A snake this large can kill a large bull or tapir easily; records show that female anacondas become sometimes larger than the ones captured. Zoological research has shown trails of snakes on the dry riverbeds on the llanos in Venezuela that indicate extremely large snakes awaiting discovery, some of them were more than 0.50 m wide

Anacondas feed on full grown deer and pigs and one ate a jeweller while he was by a tree taking shelter from a storm, so why couldn't that snake at least be attempting to eat what ever that is in the photo?

I believe it, DDT. And yes, snakes consume all kinds of animals, and who knows what animal that bovine truly is - whether it's a Sr. or Jr. Bovine . . . the one in the original photo that doesn't look too comfortable being lifted by an Anaconda from that refreshing pool of water by it's nostrils. I wouldn't like it either. We're just trying to determine if this pic is a phony or not.

OK, seriously - what animal is this? Is it really a cow or calf? I'm convinced this photograph has been professionally altered.

Quite true. The effort of attacking, killing and eating any Sr. or Jr. Bovine by that snake was certainly an attempt in that photo . . . but was doubtfully successful.

Snakes will strike and eat anything whatever their lousy eyesight permits . . . especially Jr. Bovine.

I'm with Basusero on this one; I see no reason to doubt this photo's accuracy. There was this photo making the internet rounds lately -- different snake and victim, but I think it would lead credence to this being true - especially something that looks like it's been tossed into a zoo exhibit and that looks tasty:
