Hmm, I was never "accused" of any non-standard pronunciation :D Well, yet I know that I do vibrate my vocal chords when I pronounce "х" as a single sound, and this has nothing to do with my hearing....

Well, I agree with you that Russian "х" is not always voiced, but when I pronounce it as a single sound I do feel that my vocal chords vibrate. Maybe that's why I was deluded
