Боюсь, что я немножко вырвала из контекста эти две фразы, о которых идет речь на ветке, и поэтому вы его не видите. Но там нет ощущения возражения. Спокойное повествование, никакого конфликта.

That's OK! The context would be helpful as usual, though

...I've received your letter. It was helpful as usual, though.
The person that wrote this has used a pattern, that is used for contradiction. But has used the pattern when no contradiction is present. "Though' should not have been placed there. The person didn't edit their writing. It's a clanger.

Maybe you are right, but I've heard that meaningless "though" at the end of the sentence million times. So this phenomenon does exist for some reason and, as every word conveys something, it should convey something, too, and should be translated somehow.

This error arises when a pattern is similar to another but logic is incorrect. It arises from misuse, and by not being corrected, error propagates, multiplies. It could almost fall into category "scribal lapse". (Scribal error from inattention.)

    The error shouldn't be translated.

A single error shouldn’t, but a countrywide one should, if the matter concerns translating. Otherwise we emasculate the language. Yet every particular person is always free to choose any degree of language exquisiteness for themselves.

It might be possible to use some intensifier, же, instead. The sense would not be impaired.
