When I first read your sentence "the slut served the clergy", I understood what you meant, I just worded it the way I did to express how I would have said it. For one, the use of the word "slut" is not very eloquent.
As far as the meaning of "served" , In the context of the movie, I wouldn't use the word Served in this way. The original quote "Goldie worked the clergy" makes more sense. Because Goldie is a prostitute, it is implied that when she has "worked" the Clergy, she has sold them her sexual favors.

In a different context than the movie "she served the Clergy" would mean- She worked for the Clergy.

Oh, yes, now I see. It was not only "served" but also the word "slut" that confused Бармалей. If I'd said "prostitute" then he probably would've understood me.
