Что такое statement taker?

I am not sure.

Maybe it is somebody who writes down the statements made by a celebrity.

Насколько мне известно (необходимо подтверждение native speaker-а):

statement taker - человек, собирающий показания и информацию при расследовании различных нарушений прав человека, в некотором роде официальное лицо от спец. организаций.

Возможно, в более широком смысле он может быть не привязан к "правам человека", но эти тэйкеры мне встречались именно в таком контексте.

An ex Police Officer is required to work within a busy Police Force, south of the country as a Statement Taker.

You will be working alongside detectives and assisting in obtaining evidential statements from witnesses and victims of crime. Your role will also include identifying lines of enquiry and collecting exhibits i.e CCTV, property etc.

Ideal skills and experience will include: PACE, interviewing witnesses and victims, excellent statement writing and a good attention to detail.
