I have been listening to Queen's album Innuendo lately. Again and again.
I have few questions for native English speakers..
1. What does "innuendo" mean?
2. What is "Bijou"
3. In the song "Ride the wild wind" - is he singing about motorcycle ride? It's not obvious in the lyrics..

Is the best way to express it in Russian - "будь что будет"?

Yes, it is. The obsolete form of expressing subjunctive mood. A few expressions survived as idioms. E.g., Bless you!; Success attend you!; So be it!; Come what will!, etc.

BTW, tehre is a comma after будь.

1) innuendo: an indirect remark, gesture, or reference, usually implying something derogatory == insinuation

2) where do you see Bijou? Bijou: 1)a jewel 2) something small and exquisite == trinket

3) Well, I don't think you should take the lyrics too literal, I don't think it is about motorcycles... knowing Queen it is probably about drugs. Ride the wild wind = take drugs

1. No idea..but dictionary.com has this to say "An indirect or subtle, usually derogatory implication in expression; an insinuation" Oh! Now I got it. I will later "take a stab" at a translation of Queen. (I *think the former sentence of mine was an innuendo---anybody? Am I correct)
2. A swamp in south west america...dirty nasty places with alligators, boggy.
3. "Living on the Edge" I'll attempt to translate...though I don't listen to queen and have never seen this song, it is very similar to phrase in a song by another band "Aeorsmith's" "Living on the Edge"

Yes, most of them are really obsolete, and it's stated in grammar books.

I guess, my literal guess about motorcycles was caused by revving sounds in the music.. and my mood mostly.

And sorry, I still didn't get the meaning of "Innuendo". I've read the dictionary myself, before posting the question.. May be I'm dumb, but can someone "translate" the definition to the simpliest english possible? with pictures and examples?

Bijou - it's the name of the song from Innuendo album. So is it a swamp or a jewel?

Just to be on the safe side -- if it's of any help:

Innendo -- косвенный намёк; инсинуация. Synonymical expressions -- an oblique hint, an indirect allusion, etc.

Bijou -- драгоценная вещь (plural -- bijoux). A possyble synonym is "jewel" (you got that )[/b]
