The load before was larger, it was one and one eights of an ounce, which probably led to a gun being not very much soft on the shoulder.

It refers to an area where people shoot for pleasure. "Grounds" basically means open area or space.

And that movement, there if you notice, the barrels at the end do not move it's only the stock that moves which keeps you on line with the target
