    lunch. launch is a boat.
I had a nice lunch. is correct.
Do you want to have lunch? is correct.
The lunch I had yesterday was a pbj sandwich. I made my own lunch today - lox and bagels.
BTW same goes for breakfast and dinner.

What does your textbook say about this?

to have lunch = обедать (I had lunch earlier than Dr.House). 'had lunch' - тут неделимая конструкция. Но 'I had a nice lunch today' c артиклем, потому что появляется определение 'nice' (короче, все дело в появившемся определении)

I agree with alexsms. You can see that rule in "English Grammar in Use" by Raymond Murphy: Unit 73 E (3d edition)
"i had nice lunch" would be incorrect.
I had lunch, но I had a nice lunch.
    Thanks for correcting me.
