Is it wrong to write "i had nice lunch" ?

to have lunch = обедать (I had lunch earlier than Dr.House). 'had lunch' - тут неделимая конструкция. Но 'I had a nice lunch today' c артиклем, потому что появляется определение 'nice' (короче, все дело в появившемся определении)

"i had nice lunch" would be incorrect.
I had lunch, но I had a nice lunch.
