Thread: Words to learn for today 4/14

These are the words I am trying to learn today.
Are these common words?

Приятель = friend
постоянно = constantly
смысл = meaning
презирать = to despise

I usually use the word друг for friend.

Yes, those words are common.
Друг is a more common word. Though I think it depends on the speaker. Personaly I don't use word приятель. And I suppose друг is more close friend than приятель.

I asked about Приятель long long ago on this forum. I was told it's like 'boyfriend' but maybe they just ment a friend that is a guy.

I despise my friend, because he is constantly searching for the meaning of life.

It is easier to learn vocab when the words are in a sentence rather than just trying to memorize a list.
