So yeah, there may be over 200 million guns in the country, but they're all in big arsenals owned by people like that guy from Tremors who was in Family Ties and his wife Reba McEntire.

That still leaves 23% of guns dispersed over the remaining 90% of the population, added together that's still quite a chunk of the population with firearms.

The percentage of firearm ownership seems to be quite a bit higher in the rural lands.

By the way, I "pack heat" almost every day! So far it seems as if I am in the minority but those of us who do "pack" do not really advertise , so it is hard to tell for sure.

kalinka_vinnie, that is a CLASSIC photo! It's good to know the Darwin Theory works in Russia. Alot of dumb people in New England are being taken out of the gene pool by driving onto lakes with thin ice this year. Why do they do that? Because they did last year...

Salmon; Trout, Rainbow; Trout, Steelhead Fishing in mostly the Kamchatka area is what I found with a Google. But a bunch of drunk guys ice fishing is entertaining too.

Yes - you can buy guns at Wal-Mart but only hunting rifles not handguns or pistols.

As far as the average American owning guns it really depends on where you live. Most people in the city areas are dead set against gun ownership. People who live more in the country (so to say) are more prone to gun ownership. Of course there are big exceptions to this.

Actually gun ownership is a hotly debated political issue here. Politically speaking usually liberals are anti-gun ownership and conservatives are usually pro-gun ownership. Again this does vary.
