Thread: vocab. books

What are some good books for if you just want to learn vocabulary. Maybe somthing fun with pictures. Raskolnik suggested "Russian in 10 mins a day", but are there any others as well?

Don't know about the books, though. They did the same for a bunch of languages besides Russian. It was very entertaining for me, although I'm Russian and don't need to learn the language

i have this software. It is great for vocabulary. I would estimate they "immerse" you in 800 of the necessary words of the russian language

you could try "my first 1000 words in russian" i bought it on pure impulse and i cant say ive used it much since the words don't have the stress marked on them them , however if you've got a russian boyfriend just hand him a pen and let the 'stress marking' begin

hahaha, nice rhyming , but does this book have pictures too (I know that might sound childish). I just think it might make learning the vocab. easier if there are pictures to match with the words your sounding out.
