I met a woman from Kiev today and her name was "Ruzanna". Don't blame me, that's the way she spelled it
Anyway, what is the Russian equivalent for this name?

Рузанна - Armenian name. do not confuse with Рузан (also Armenian name)Originally Posted by kwatts59

Persian: a daytime; something light, brightна персидском означает: дневное время, что-то светлое
I think it is possible tha name of town was from Persian word.
So Russian equvalent possible is Светлана (Svetlana)
