    More or less close to Angie are Ангелина and Анжелика. Хотя кому это теперь надо…

    I disagree on the "translation" "Энджи." A better way(which most Russians will understand much better) is "Мухаммад." Also, if you want to say "I am from USA" - "Я из Чечни."

    I think Pravit is joking.
    To be exact, Энджи is not a translation, it's a transliteration. I personally think that the concept of name translating is rather disputable. But if I happened to communicate (in Russian) with someone named Angie, I would call her Энджи without any difficulty.

    If I were you I would indeed write it the way I like. And if somebody won't understand it (though it's difficult for me to imagine such a thing) you can give him/her all the possible variants and he will choose the easiest for him.

    You guys really pulled the wool over Angie's eyes The correct way to write your name is "Мухаммад." If you want Russians to know you're from the USA, "Я из Чечни" will work.
