Why do you use Кое-что instead of Что-нибудь?

катался на машине is incorrect to mean “drove a car”?

высокой скорости is a set phrase for “fast speed”? When I use быстро катался does it look incorrect?

Why do you use произошло instead of происходил? What is the exact difference?

Why do you use приходить instead of навестить? What is the exact difference?

Why do you use погибла instead of умера? What is the exact difference?

Why do you se пострадали instead of ранили? What is the exact difference?
