    Since you omit "погода" in Russian that makes it connected as "тёплая погода", it is better to say:

    Сегодня не так тепло, как вчера.

    Слово "язык" здесь не обязательно.
    "...как и немецкий" - намного лучше.

    Можно еще сказать "Английский так же труден, как и немецкий".

    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    Ok so I am not getting this "же" thing. Some of the comparison sentences use it, sometimes not. I looked through this thread:

    Speaking about comparisons, it's used if some other object ( or action ) have the same trait as main object.
    Её брат такой же умный, как его жена
    Ты можешь съесть столько же, сколько и вчера.

    And is not used, if it have not or objects' parameters are not compared.
    Её брат не такой умный, как его жена
    Ты можешь (съ)есть (столько,) сколько (ты) хочешь
    Russian is tough, let’s go shopping!

    же's similar in a certain usage of the English word 'just'.
